A barrier-free camp and retreat center in the Rockies.
Since 1951, Rocky Mountain Village has hosted camp, respite, and recreation for people with disabilities, and in the off-season opens its lodges, hall, and trails to retreats, conferences, and private groups.
Since 1951
A barrier-free camp
In 1951, Easterseals Colorado ran RMV's first summer session with 36 campers. In the 75 years since, the camp has provided enriching, memorable recreation to over 300 children, adolescents, and adults who live with a wide spectrum of disabilities, both cognitive and physical. Every building, trail, and dock is designed so campers can take on real challenge and independence in a cooperative outdoor setting.
RMV is licensed by the Colorado Department of Early Childhood and accredited by the American Camp Association. Outside of camp season, the same fully accessible grounds are available to rent.
